1st.
Decide "which_page.html" (and folder) on your website will contain
the links your visitors will click to listen to your MP3 audio file.

2nd.
Decide on an exact name for your MP3 file such as :
"myfile.mp3" OR a date: "01_11_06.mp3",...it's up to you.

3rd.
Use MUSICMATCH (with line-in or mic-in) to Record this audio as an mp3 file >BR> at 16 kbps, 24 kbps, 32 kbps.
(Even slow modems should buffer it then without gaps.)
(Lets name the file "myfile.mp3"). Musicmatch puts the ".mp3" on the end.

4th.
Now go to Notepad (a simple Text Editor) and create a text word file with only 1 line.
This 1 line is the complete address to THIS "myfile.mp3" file
followed by a hard carriage return at the end of the line

SUCH AS : http://www.your_domain_name.com/your_sound_folder_name/myfile.mp3

It must be the complete URL to your MP3 file.
Save this 1 line text file as : myfile.m3u
Did you see the difference?? The text file MUST BE SAVED with a .m3u extension.
     The "myfile.m3u" extension tells the computer :
Turn on this computer's MP3 PLAYER (almost everyone has one) and play "myfile.mp3"

5th.
Now update your .HTML page including a new link to your MP3 file.
Make this link a complete URL website link to myfile.m3u file.(NOT TO THE MP3 FILE)
[I've read... If you add (autostart="true" type="audio/mpeg") to the "myfile.m3u" Link it should work better.?] Your MP3 file should start playing.

THUS : You have made a complete url address link to the text file : "myfile.m3u". The computer reads the text which says PLAY THE FOLLOWING MP3 FILE...... http://www._______________/myfile.mp3

6th.
You now have 3 files to up-load to your website.
a. Your updated .HTML web page with the new .m3u link.
b. Your .M3U file
c. Your .MP3 file

7th.
Use an FTP program (freeware : Try Win-sock) to upload all 3 files to the same folder.

8th.
Check it out. (Check out my source code on this page)

9th.
If it doesn't work. Download the free WINAMP Player & Install / Open it. Set it to play only mp3's.
